Intimate Expressions
In this body of work, I record intimate moments in abstraction. This body of work becomes a visual diary in which I render feelings and moments where the emotions behind them feel indescribable. This body of work is filled with color which becomes an extension of an uncertainty as I try to connect colors with feelings. The variation in colors expresses an inner chaos and instability which I communicate through highly textured marks. I rely on intention in the pressure of my materials to further convey these ideas. These works employ shapes, color, and lines to represent particular bodies and emotions, but as this is rendered in abstraction the viewer can come to any number of interpretations.
