Lauren Venable was born in Pleasant Prairie, WI in 2001. She received her BFA in Studio Art: Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking from Loyola University Chicago in May 2024. She has participated in group exhibitions at the Ralph Arnold Gallery in Chicago, IL and at the Dubuque Museum of Art in Dubuque, IA. In 2023, she won the second place prize in the Dubuque Museum of Art’s 2023 Biennial. She currently works at Easel Art Studio in Chicago, IL where she teaches art to kids ages 2 to 12. In her art practice, she enjoys using charcoal and oil pastels as well as more unconventional materials like window screening to capture intimate moments through color and texture. Lauren currently lives and works in Chicago, IL with her fiancee and cat.
